Series of actions for which Monroy reproduces tirelessly signatures of established modern and contemporary artists and figures. Using counterfeiting and copying as strategies, Monroy addresses and incorporate the aesthetic that accompany each artistic reference using his body as support. Each incorporation work start with the making of a tonsure hair cut in Monroy’s head, emulating the signature of the reference artist, and continues with the making of photographic records, videos of actions and the obsessed counterfeit of signatures with the goal of incorporate such entities, spiritually and aesthetically speaking. The trials of incorporation and counterfeiting are finished once the tonsure hair cut is totally gone. Normally, in this period of time, more than 10,500 counterfeits of the signatures are made. The project looks after rescue aesthetical and spiritual notions of incorporation of souls in modernity while satirizes, celebrate or honored the figure of the reference artist.
